God I’ve missed home.
I miss home. The salt in the sea. The dry sand to the tall palm trees. I miss missing rain. Even the clouds pass a little differently in Californ-i-ay.
The buildings are taller downtown.
The ocean in warmer in PB.
The surf is sweeter in La Jolla.
The culture is alive in North Park and Hillcrest.
The casinos run loud and late in Lakeside.
It’s easy to walk in La Mesa.
The streets have accents in San Diego.
Memories rewind at Balboa Park.
The music is louder in every Venue.
People are weird in Hollywood.
The smog is just seasoned air in Los Angeles.
The stars shine bright in the OC.
I will always love my sweet old home, any tree, any street, any spot in California.
RIP San Diego staple Junior Seau. You will be missed.
